"Inno a Satana" by Giosuè Carducci continues to stir up controversy and becomes a weapon in the fight against the opponents of the Royal Art, of which the author was an active member during a certain period of his life. The poem is also perceived as an attack on the Catholic Church and promoting worship of Satan. However, this Italian Nobel laureate manifested in it, above all, the idea of returning to the ancient heritage. This poem still has a timeless appeal and evokes strong emotions when trying to interpret its message. The book uses prints by contemporary Polish artist Maciej Nabiałek.
