Włodzimierz Buczek was born in 1931 in Zawiercie, died in 1986 in Cracow. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studio of M. Makarewicz and K. Srzednicki. From 1968 to 1971, he was chairman of the Polish Committee of the International Association of Visual Arts at UNESCO. Participant in the National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts "Against War, Against Fascism" at the Arsenal in 1955. The artist was a member of the "MARG" Group. As a teacher, he worked at his alma mater. The main theme that the artist addressed in his work was landscape and still life.
