Pierre de Bourdeille, seigneur de Brantôme (born c. 1540, died July 15, 1614) - French historian, soldier and biographer.
He became famous mainly as a diarist. He was the author of the colorful Mémoires (vols. 1-10) published in 1665-1666. They are a valuable document of the customs of the era. They include, among others, Lives of the swaggering ladies
