Roman Trilogy - a series of works by Jack Bochenski created for almost fifty years. The series includes the volumes Divine Julius, Nazo the poet, Tiberius Caesar.
Bochenski began writing the first volume on the initiative of Irena Szymanska, who one day in the restaurant of the Czytelnik publishing house, offered Bochenski to write a novel about Gaius Julius Caesar. The choice of the two main characters of the further parts, Ovid and Tiberius, was conditioned by the desire to maintain chronological continuity: Rome under Caesar, then under Octavian and finally under Tiberius. The time of the action is the aforementioned ancient era of the three emperors, as well as the modern world; the place of action is not only ancient Rome, but also the barbarian territories(Gaul), Greece(Rhodes), and the Ancient East. In each of the three parts, the narrator takes on a specific role, adapted to the needs of the time and depending on who the protagonist of the part is. The author skillfully combines the ancient and modern worlds, and is familiar with the source texts. The author's intention was to confront the characters of the main characters with us, modern people, as a result, Bochenski created a work that embraced antiquity, the world of the People's Republic and the modern world.
