Lavishly illustrated (103 reproductions in the text), a basic study of the history of book illustration, discussing all types of book graphics, transformations in the aesthetics of illustration and book decoration, and their printing techniques. The book in an interesting artistic arrangement, with very wide margins, on which are placed numerous ornaments and small graphics in black and brick colors. At the beginning of the chapters, stylized initials, while at the end there are decorative finials. The graphic design of the book remains in close harmony with its content.
