Jan Adamczewski (born December 1, 1923 in Poznan, died February 23, 1997 in Krakow) - Polish journalist, writer, lover of Krakow. He collaborated with Dziennik Polski, Echo of Krakow, Przekroj, among others. He was a member and honorary president of the Association of Polish Authors. He wrote books about Krakow, promoted Krakow and its history and promoted the restoration of the city's monuments (for which he was entered in the Honorary Book of Acts for the Restoration of Krakow). Among other awards, he received the Krakow Book of the Month Award in November 1996 for his Little Encyclopedia of Krakow. In 1973 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland. He is buried in Krakow's Rakowicki Cemetery in the Alley of the Deserving.
