AT TYSZKIEWICZ
ANNO DOMINI MDCCCCXLIII
IN THE NICHE BRANCH OF HIS OUTHOUSE
TO MY WIFE
Samuel Tyszkiewicz - 1889 in Warsaw - 1954 in Castel d'Aiano - Polish typographer, printer and publisher
Konstanty Brandel - 1880 in Warsaw - 1970 in Paris - Polish painter and graphic artist
The thirty-second publication of the Oficyna Florentina, and the twelfth in the Nice branch, wants to be proof of the inextinguishable hope and perseverance in the undertaken, task, continuing to serve the poets on the wandering amidst the worries of loneliness and the ever-closer world turmoil, from which a new life is to arise.
The text was folded by Janina Sliwinska in antiqua punk 8 and rebound antiqua modo in hand embossing on the Oficyna's own ribbed, purely rag, handmade paper with the Oficyna's watermark, made at the Favier paper mill in Lagat, Auvergne, finishing the printing on the 113th anniversary of the November Uprising, in the same workshop at Boulevard de Cimiez No. 47 in Nice as always. The print run includes, as usual, one hundred and twenty-five pieces numbered verbatim in the pressing room and twenty named pieces in the colophon for Friends-bibliophiles.
