We present the most extensive and unique private collection of photographs depicting Polish landed gentry and aristocracy at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It includes about 20,000 objects dating mainly from 1890-1939. The portrait photos, individual and group, show representatives of the most illustrious aristocratic families - Lubomirski, Radziwill, Branicki, Czartoryski, Potocki, Zamoyski, Tarnowski, Sapieha, but also scenes from everyday life and various celebrations. The oldest photographs date from the second half of the 19th century, from famous photographic ateliers (those of Walery Rzewuski of Krakow or Jan Mieczkowski of Warsaw) the latest from the 1930s. They reveal the history of Polish landowners and aristocrats, and at the same time the history of Polish photography at the time.
