FOUR BOOKS ON ARCHITECTURE
Andrea Palladio - (1508-1580) - In Book I, using Vitruvius, he lectures on the principles of architecture, and in Book II he presents examples of private buildings, most often designed by himself. Book III included a discussion of public architecture, urban planning and engineering issues. Book IV, on the other hand, included ancient temples. His theory was based on the works of Vitruvius and Alberti, and he was also interested in practical issues (such as water supply)
