Antemurale - a yearbook published between 1954 and 1985 by the Polish Historical Institute in Rome.
Father Walerian Meysztowicz had a key role in its creation. The journal's council included Maria Danilewicz-Zielińska, Karolina Lanckorońska, Henryk Paszkiewicz. The journal published dissertations by Polish authors (less often by foreign authors) in English, French, Italian and Latin. Source texts were also published. Topics were mainly medievalist. From volume 16 (1972) the editor-in-chief was Walerian Meysztowicz, from volume 24 (1980) the editor-in-chief was Maria Danilewicz-Zielińska.
