J. Andrzejewski (1909-1983) - writer, publicist, screenwriter. "During the Stalinist period, he wrote propaganda texts supporting socialist realism and the involvement of art people on the side of communist power, including 'The Party and the Writer's Work.' He left the PZPR in 1957, and C. Milosz portrayed him in the literary parabola 'The Captive Mind' (1953) as an Alpha. Since the 1960s an active participant in the democratic opposition. Co-author of Letter 34. In January 1976, he signed a letter of protest [...] against changes to the Constitution of the People's Republic of Poland. In the 1970s, co-founder of the KOR.
