A classic Polish variation on the Sleeping Beauty tale - full of old-fashioned charm, with charming illustrations by Julitta Karwowska-Wnuczak.
It is known about the beloved royal daughter from the day she is born that she is threatened by great danger. The parents try at all costs to prevent the misfortune, unfortunately, in vain. Will someone be found who will lift the curse of the vengeful bard from the princess?
The princess has been closely sleeping an enchanted sleep for a hundred years, along with her dignified parents and the entire court. Their castle is surrounded by an impassable hawthorn hedge. Many dignified royals, princes and lords have tried to cross it, but entangled in the branches of the hawthorn they have fallen under the power of sorcery and are resting in a dream. Invisible spirits guard the access to the Princess of Hawthorn.
The classic fairy tale, which was told in his own way by Wladyslaw Ludwik Anczyc 150 years ago, still delights and moves, and the illustrations by the master of magical mood, remembered by many parents from their childhood, transport the reader directly to the land of princesses, knights and sorcery.
