This hardcover book with a preserved wrapper, by Major Manz, was published in 1940 at the behest of Generalkommando XVIII Alpenkorps by NS-Gauverlag Tirol in Innsbruck. It is a very comprehensive and original photographic documentation of the Third Reich's Nazi mountain troops (Alpenkorps) during the war against Poland in September 1939.

Minor damage to the wrapper, otherwise very good state of preservation.
