A richly illustrated monograph describing the history and resources of residences and manors in the borderlands of the former Republic. It also covers some of the areas within the borders of present-day Poland (the vicinity of Krosno, Sanok and Przemyśl). Like Linde's "Dictionary of the Polish Language" and Estreicher's "Bibliografia polska", "Dzieje rezydencji" is a monumental work of one man. Historian and librarian Roman Aftanazy was already collecting materials on the history, appearance and resources of existing and defunct residences and mansions in the pre-war years. Thanks to him, this world has not been lost entirely and irrevocably. Bibliophile will find in this publication a lot of information about libraries in the borderlands. 11 volumeshave been published.
