Very good condition. The first issue of the first scientific journal in the German lands, published in the years 1682-1782. The initiator of the periodical was G. Leibniz, and the editor and publisher was Otto Mencke. The purpose of "Acta Eruditorum" was to present scientific discoveries and review the works of prominent scholars (including I. Newton, G.W. Leibniz, J. Bernoulli) published at the time. Among the contributors to the journal was Pole Adam Adamandy Kochanski. The issue presented here includes, among others, the first print of Jan Hevelius' work "Eclipsis Lunae Anno 1681. die 29. August. mane Gedani, " describing a lunar eclipse and containing measurements taken during it at the astronomer's Gdansk observatory.
