A soldier's MEMORY with entries.
Diary of Edward Gruszka, a soldier of the 2nd platoon of the 5th Intendant Service Detachment in Cracow, Bosacka Street, with entries by his colleagues from 1927-1930 [a few later from the years of WWII]. Contents include about 40 entries, a few decorated with handwritten drawings, most of the entries from Krakow, some from Przemyśl (several dozen signatures) and Czeladz. In addition, a list of a dozen names of soldiers with their home addresses. On the last page an entry by the author's father of the diary. Notebook, 17 x 10 cm, impregnated canvas in green, 78 pages, almost all written on one or both sides. Accompanied by a 9 x 13.5 cm studio photograph depicting the author of the diary with his friends during military service.
Good condition, in places not much soiling of pages.
