Set of catalogs of the LAMUS HERALDYCZNY antiquarian bookstore run by Joachim Babecki [died in the Warsaw Uprising], 24 catalogs [out of 26, no. 8 and 15 missing] from 1935-39, f. 14.5 x 23cm, p. 16 [each issue].
Joachim BABECKI [1899-1944] - ran the antique shop "Lamus Heraldic" at 6 Wierzbowa St. m. 22a [in the courtyard of the English Hotel], which had, among other things, 10,000 cataloged noble names listed on documents from the 15th to the 18th century, land and township records, letters of grant, conscription receipts, wills, etc., for sale on a continuous basis. Through Mr. Babecki's antique shop passed, among other things, a museum-quality collection of designs and blueprints for paper money of the Bank of Poland from 1830-65, consisting of 56, among them 35 original drawings by Minheymer and Meyer, some with notes by Henryk Lubienski. Joachim Babecki was killed during the Warsaw Uprising.
