Unwarped rubbing of binding, unsoiled title pages, yellowing on single pages, cross-out on title page, otherwise internally good condition. Contains, among others: On Miraculous Images and the Ancient Church on the Holy Mountain of Gostynin; Sentences and Teachings of St. Philip Nerius; On the First Beginnings of the Congregation of St. Philip in Poland. Also included in the contents are some soaring prayers of St. Philip Nerius, a broad description of the congregation's history divided into different periods, and the life of Fr. Wawrzyn Kusniak. The congregation of XX. Filipinas is the first Filipino community established on Polish soil in 1668.As a result of the so-called "May Laws" issued by the Prussian government, the congregation was dissolved in 1876.After the restoration of independence, the Filipinos returned to Svatá Hora in 1919 to resume their pastoral activities at the Svatá Hora Shrine.
