Slight rubbing of covers, taped tear of brochure cover, good condition. Dictionary to the "Queen Sophia's Bible" ("Szaroszpatacka Bible"), containing the oldest Polish translation of the Old Testament from the mid-15th century and constituting the most extensive monument of the Polish language of the manuscript era. The text in its entirety was first published in 1871 as "The Bible of Queen Sophia of Jagiello's Wife. From the Szaroszpatacki Codex. Printed by Prince Jerzy Henryk Lubomirski and published by Antoni Malecki". - and the dictionary presented here refers to this edition. The manuscript of the "Szaroszpatacka Bible" has not survived to our times, only 3 of its pages are known.
