Augustow - a city in northeastern Poland, in Podlaskie Province, the seat of Augustow County and Augustow rural municipality.
A royal town of the Augustów starosty in the Bielskoye land of the Podlaskie province in 1795. A government town of the Congress Kingdom, it was located in 1827 in the Dąbrowa district, Augustów county of the Augustów province. From 1975 to 1998 the town belonged to the Suwałki province.
