Binding, period, decorated and gilt red percale cartonage in poor condition with minimal rubbing; on the back in the lower part dry flood mark; spine gilt and embossed with title and geometric-plant and floral patterns; on the front cover a scene of a child with a scientist, while on the back cover a monogram in a medallion from the publisher M.Q.; all pages gilded at edges; inside, condition db, some pages yellowed characteristic of 19th and early 20th century works; overall average condition.
