152 WE THE PRESIDENT AND SENATORS of the Free, Independent and Strictly Neutral City of Cracow and its District (...). Budget of both Revenue and Expenses for the year 1827/28 on 13 b.m. and r. in the House of Representatives passed (...).
Cracow 31 I 1827, 16 p .
An exceptionally interesting example of printing from the period of the Republic of Cracow. Act of the House of Representatives of the Free City of Cracow during the presidency of Stanislaw Wodzicki concerning the budget of the Free City of Cracow for 1827 and 1828. An exceptionally interesting source of this unique state existing for only a little over 30 years. 12 pages deal with the city's revenues, including, among others, in addition to fixed taxes, suppository taxes on various types of liquor, or on fiacres on the Vistula. Expenses, on the other hand, only 2 pages, and note the budget was balanced. No deficit. Rare!
Booklet in average condition; some pages with folds at corners and losses without loss of text; on 1 p. a period annotation "Budget for the year 1827" and "1827"; overall average condition.
