Breviary published in Buda, the so-called Officum Rakoczianum. The Breviary was intended for all Catholic faithful and covers the entire liturgical year. Thus, it contains the calendar for 1807, and the calendar of movable feasts for 1807-1831, the liturgy of the Mass, blessing prayers, the text of the devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Name of Jesus. The liturgy is supplemented by recollections of other saints, the blessing of water and various occasional prayers. The text in Latin with large interlines in a font for easy reading.
Period binding, full leather in poor condition with rubbing and loss, especially at the corners, and traces of xylophage holes; spine embossed and gilded with title; interior in average condition; occasional stains, but dry; title page with engraving depicting Jesus surrounded by the Apostles torn from the bottom; handwritten ex-librises of a clergyman on it and on the first page; overall poor condition.
