A gilded breviary intended for the Order of Preachers, or Dominicans. Thus, it contains the calendar for 1738, and the calendar of movable feasts for 1738-1762, the liturgy of the Mass, blessing prayers, excerpts from the Old and New Testaments, the text of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Name of Jesus, numerous hymns. The liturgy is supplemented by recollections of other saints, the blessing of water and various occasional prayers. Breviary published under the auspices of Thomas Ripoll (1652-1747), in 1725-1747 the general of the Dominican order. Text in Latin.
