Antwerp 1633, Joannes Cnobbaert, 354 +6pp.

Beautifully illustrated with an allegorical engraving of the title page , a religious print dedicated to Mary in the form of the so-called Crown composed of 12 stars, or meditations. Thomas de Villecastin (1570-1649), was a Spanish clergyman, Jesuit, author of meditations and texts on spirituality. Text in Dutch.

Period binding, full leather in medium condition with a few rubs and minor losses, especially at the corners; spine joined by one metal buckle; only one pin left after the second; interior in db condition, unblemished; all page edges are gilt; overall db condition.
