20 cm, pp. [12], 437, [147], ornaments and finials in woodcut. Half leather binding.


Comprehensive source material for the history of the Polish Reformation and dissident polemics, presented in a rare style, without haughtiness and with respect for opponents, published on commission and under ecclesiastical auspices by Józef Andrzej Załuski, Roman Catholic bishop, politician, patron of science and culture, bibliophile, polyhistorian, editor, bibliographer, historian, poet, playwright, translator, co-founder of the Załuski Library in Warsaw.

Piece complete, title page and 3 others with old paper loss restorations, minimal loss of contents, few marginalia, a few pages with minor soiling. Volume after conservation review, in a classic half leather decorative binding with leather corners, made by the Polish Antiquarian.
