First series of the fifth loan of the city of Warsaw, issued October 1/13, 1896 - 500 rubles.
A rare pre-World War I ruble bond of Warsaw. The first series of Warsaw's fifth loan of 1896 was intended to finance the construction of the city's sewer system. It consisted of three sections, 100 rubles, 500 rubles and 1,000 rubles. The 500 ruble denomination had the lowest mintage of the issue - 2,000 pieces.
