S. Wasylewski (1885-1953) - author of more than 20 excellent books devoted mainly to Polish customs and the history of Polish culture. As Krzysztof Masloñ stated: "Because he wrote about history engagingly, he was fought against by historians." In this book, the author, with great swagger and humor, introduces the reader to the sometimes dangerous world of medieval monasteries, folk legends and superstitions.
