Lot description Show orginal version
Grade: PMG 64
Certificate: PMG 1909500-001
Reference: Miłczak G46

The highest denomination of the issue, preserved in its full issuing condition.

Attracting attention with its intense red colors and beautiful panorama with the Gdansk Main Town Hall and Neptune's monument centrally.

Recommended, as the 500 and 1000 denominations are the crown issue items of the Free City of Gdansk.

The highest in terms of purchasing value, the largest format in the guilder issue and with beautiful design.

In addition, preserved in beautiful issue condition, they are a real ornament of even advanced collections, being of interest not only to Polish collectors.

This denomination was in circulation from 21.08.1924 until September 1939, where it was replaced by German marks. The printing was done on behalf of the Senate of the Free City of Danzig in British printing houses. It was a banknote with high purchasing power during circulation, while the very low mintage is evidenced by its printing in only one F series.
