5 gold 1794 - N.B 1. - [J HONIG] & ZOONEN

Very nicely preserved 5 gold of the Kosciuszko Insurrection. A denomination rarely seen in attractive states of preservation. Here piece graded to a good PMG note.

On the obverse handwritten signatures of two commissioners, Jan Fechner and Antoni Reykowski.

Well-preserved and legible dry seal, with a breakage characteristic of this denomination.

An additional asset is the watermark of the Dutch company that produced the paper on which the Kosciuszko Insurrection tickets were printed, a company owned by Jan Honig, marking its product with the filigree J HONIG & ZOONEN.
