A very rare variety to which only one series belongs - III Ser. A.
One of the highest valued banknotes of this issue, very difficult to obtain, regardless of the state of preservation.
The present one in nice, natural state of preservation 3, without conservation. With a few impotent fractures, presentation good.
It was issued by the Polish National Loan Bank, an institution established on 7.12.1918 after Poland regained its independence, as a transitional institution to be replaced by the Polish Bank proper. The banknote of this variety is itself a rather unusual issue, as it is the only one of this denomination printed on paper with a different watermark, i.e. eagles and the letters BP, the others have a watermark in the form of a bee grid. Most likely it was a later reprint, as in the case of the 1000 Polish marks denomination, and it was decided on an unusual situation to have in circulation, the same banknote, but with two different watermarks.
From the scarce pieces of this variety that have survived to this day, it can be concluded that the circulation of this variety was low.
