A very rare pair of General Government of Warsaw, Series I specimens with the erroneous "Jenerał-Gubernatorstwo" clause.
Obverse print with diagonal red Muster overprint. Reverse print numbered A - 0000000 - A - 0000000 and with red diagonal Muster overprint.
Pieces printed on smooth paper in contrast to the final introduced version, which was printed on ribbed paper.
Obverse with no traces of sagging or creasing over the entire surface of the banknote. Print colors well preserved, intensely saturated. Slight foxing spot on the unprinted side. The banknote bears traces of contact with moisture as a result of foxing, which is the case with the vast majority of known designs. As a result of the process carried out, the Muster print does not retain its natural luster.
The reverse, like the obverse, is well preserved, with no technical flaws, but also with the effects of the die-cutting process. Print intensely saturated, but the Muster print does not retain its original luster. Minor foxing discoloration on the unprinted side.
Polish brand patterns issued under the administration of the General Government of Warsaw constitute the rarest and most difficult to complete issue among all Polish patterns of the 20th century.
A pair of patterns which, due to their state of preservation, is an ornament to any collection.
