From the Polish lands that were not incorporated into the Third Reich, the General Government was established on October 12, 1939. On December 15, 1939, the Issuing Bank was established, which was able to put into circulation a currency based on the zloty. The 100-zloty banknotes of 1932 and 1934 were effective from then on with the imprint "General gouvernement fur die besetzten polnischen Gebiete."
