Banknote 1 zloty 01.10.1938, J cheese (single letter).
This is the first issue of this denomination, whose issuer was the Ministry of Treasury. Issued hurriedly, just before the outbreak of World War II, to make up for the lack of small money in circulation. The rush resulted in the use of low-quality printing paper, not often in various shades, from white to even creamy yellow, mostly matte, hence the grading notes for this denomination, even for uncirculated pieces, usually end with a value of 64 and no EPQ. Here we have an outstanding piece in terms of grading, to this one-letter series, many times rarer than the two-letter series.
An attractive piece, confirmed by a high PMG grading bill, plus an EPQ annotation attesting to the exceptional quality of the paper - this is the 2nd Max bill of this bill.
