Lt. Col. Henry Angerman was awarded the Order of the British Empire, we were able to find an application for this award which brings the character of Lt. Col. Angerman closer:
"Lt Col Kazimierz Henryk Angerman Born October 29, 1898, KW x 4, SKZ (before 1939).
Lieutenant Colonel 1898/27/III, Kazimierz Angerman, Polish Artillery, 8th Heavy Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment.
Colonel Angerman worked with and under my command before Cassino, again on the Line of Goths and throughout the last period of the operation. He also worked with the 2nd and 3rd Anti-Aircraft Brigades during various periods of the Italian campaign. Throughout the time of the closest and most friendly cooperation between the British and Polish Anti-Aircraft Artillery, Colonel Angerman, whose abilities and knowledge of Anti-Aircraft Artillery are outstanding, by his personality was or largely responsible for the excellent mutual understanding and undoubted effectiveness of the regiment under his command.
I highly recommend that for his services to the Allied cause and in recognition of the merits of the Polish Anti-Aircraft Artillery in this Theater he be awarded the Order of the O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire)
