One-piece badge in the shape of a stylized crowned eagle. In the left wing of the eagle is incorporated the hallmark of the 1st Armored Division. In the lower part of the badge the initials of the battalion ( 9BSF) are inscribed, punctuated by a shield with the coat of arms of Belgium. The reverse of the badge is plain, with a mounting post in the center and a plain cap. Badge numbered at the bottom, no. 1494. condition as in the photos. Badge given to Rifleman Leon Tomaszek. The 9th Flanders Rifle Battalion was part of General Maczek's 1st Armored Division., The regiment fought in France, then in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Measures 55.5 mm x 32 mm
