Badge established in September 1916 awarded for participation in the regiment's campaigns in 1914-1916. Issued in a quantity of only about 600 pieces (per Jednodówka 3 Pułku Piechoty Legionów w 10 rocznicy powstania 1924 p.15).
Description of the badge: on an eight-pointed star, on the arms of which are inscribed the regiment's stones: BUKOWINA/WOŁYŃ/BESARABIA/KARPATY an overlay in the shape of a four-pointed cross with the inscription: 3 REGIMENT/LEG/POL-;
