Lot description
Partisan eagle wz. 19 with crown removed. 62 x 42mm. Made of zinc, reverse with counter. Mounted on soldered wire (original mount). An analogous eagle is published in Tomasz Zawistowski's book, "Polish Eagles for Caps 1939-1945", p.185, il.358. Also known are photos of uhlans from the postwar period with just such eagles on their headgear. Perfect condition. A rarity!
