A beautiful 19th-century set of patriotic memorabilia, made to preserve the memory of the heroic deeds of the demonstrators and insurgents fighting to regain independence once again, plundered by the three partitioners. It includes:
- A cross cast in iron, made as patriotic jewelry (a period of national mourning) to commemorate the patriotic demonstrations held in Warsaw on February 25, 27 and April 8, 1861. A nice piece, with only minor traces of corrosion (most of the known pieces are in weaker condition due to the easily corroded metal) and the original collar preserved. Traces of cleaning.
- Medal made in SILVER (rare version), on the occasion of the 1863 Landowners' Enfranchisement. Very good state of preservation, light scratches and thick patina / sediment.
- The box is made of leather, finished inside with purple velvet, with the coat of arms of the January insurgents embossed on the closure with the motto"GOD SAVE POLAND". The coat of arms is gilded, the entire box is kept in mourning colors, referring to the mourning of suppressed manifestations, uprisings and the loss of the entire independence and sovereignty of the Poles of that time.
A very interesting and rare 19th century value, preserved in its entirety.
