Kuwait Medal for the Liberation of Kuwait 1991 (AH 1411)

Circular bronze medal with laurel wreath and fixed ribbon bar suspension; the face with the coat of arms of Kuwait in relief with black, red, white and green enamel escutcheon at the base, inscribed above ‘ وسام التحرير’ (Liberation Medal) and dated ‘ ١٩٩١’ (1991); the reverse with a radiant map of Kuwait; on original ribbon mounted for wear in the French style. The medal was instituted by the Kuwait Council of Ministers for award in five classes and offered by the Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces on 16 July 1994 to those who had participated in the liberation of Kuwait from Iraqi occupation. It was manufactured by Bertoni of Milan, Italy. Condition I-II.
