The head of the order was the President of the Republic. The Council of the order was chaired by one of the generals of the army corps. The order consisted of a single class. The awarded orders were called Cavaliers of the Order of Vittorio Veneto. Cavaliers were awarded the badge of the order for wearing on the chest on the ribbon.
