Badge established on December 23, 1918, by the commandant of the Officer Cadet School, Lt. Col. Marian Kukiel. Approved by the Minister of Military Affairs in 1929. Its maker was Jozef Michrowski (signed J.M. on the obverse under the epaulettes).
The badge measures 40 x 37 mm, made in silver tombac (a small amount of coating on the obverse) with counter. Badge mated with a conforming signed cap.
