II RP, badge Field Gendarmerie - For Faithful Service number 651 after Major Ignacy Hutter. The badge was made in the factory of W. Gontarczyk. Badge, silver plated tombak, dimensions 44 x 44 mm. Ignacy Hutter (1865-after 1939)
Born on January 11, 1865 in Sądowa Wisznia. Son of Herman and Józefa Reiter. He was a member of the "Sokol" from 1888, where he continuously served on its board of directors. In 1906 he founded the Goldman People's School Society in Brody.
From November 2, 1918, with the rank of Lieutenant, he participated in the defense of Lviv against the Ukrainians. He was an inspection officer in the exposition of the main gendarmerie. Later he served in the gendarmerie of the 5th DP, 11th DP and 6th Army. After the end of the war, he was transferred to the reserves. Verified as major res. of gendarmerie from June 1, 1919.
Until retirement, he worked as a st. inspector of the PKP. He lived in Lviv. He was a member of the Union of Jewish Participants in Struggles for Polish Independence and the Riflemen's Association. Died after 1939.
Awarded the Cross of Valor and the Medal of Independence.
