Lot description
Cocard with the eagle of Wielkopolska. Diameter 8 cm. 40 x 46 mm (eagle). Made of brass, silver plated. Reverse with very shallow counter. Attached to the bow with two wires. The bow attached to a sewn horizontal safety pin. Analogous pieces are published in Tomasz Zawistowski's book, "Polish eagles for caps in 1917-1919", pp. 168-82. Very good condition- soiling of the bow, traces of wear.
