Wool on cotton; 203.5 x 137 cm.
Iran, Qom, 1930s.
A mihrab niche topped with a five-barrelled, dark blue, with a stately lamp suspended at the top. On the sides, columns with vase-like bases, with swirling floral tendrils. In the middle, a biconvex vase with a tree of life. The border is blue, with arcades filled with small floral patterns. The whole delights with the delicacy of patterns and subtle pastel colors, with a predominance of blue, gray, beige, white.
