A miniature decorative screen that draws on Japanese aesthetic traditions. The painting on the screen is a contemporary example of Japanese calligraphy with clear references to the Zen tradition. In the center is the symbol "enso", or circle, which in Zen Buddhism symbolizes enlightenment, unity and infinity. The frame is made of wood, brass hardware. Gold painted silk with calligraphy done in ink. Slightly rubbed in some parts. The screen consists of four quarters.
