Set of traditional Japanese owan bowls decorated with maki-e technique

add Your note
Lot description
All decorations are made using the maki-e gilding method (a technique of decorating lacquer surfaces with patterns of gold or silver particles applied with a brush). The bowls also have lids, which helps maintain the temperature of the food served. Their aesthetic refers to the Japanese philosophy of minimalism and harmony with nature, perfectly highlighting the beauty of simplicity and functionality.
Some of the gilding is slightly rubbed due to use, and one bowl has a slightly damaged edge, however, they are tight and fully functional.

Dimensions of the bowls: diameter 10.5 cm, height 4 cm.
Dimensions of the lids: diameter 11.5 cm, height 6 cm
