The first, largest fan with a rich gold background, features three painted galloping horses against a background of swirling clouds. It is a wall-mounted fan. One of the rungs of the frame is slightly damaged. The fan is signed. The second, slightly smaller fan also has a beautiful gold background, which features a composition consisting of two peacocks among flowers - including peonies and magnolias. The smaller fans are decorated with beautiful handmade calligraphy. The main characters in the center of the largest of the inscriptions can mean "strength" (力) and "fragrance" (香), which translates as "strength of fragrance" - perhaps a reference, for example, to the fragrance of tea during tea ceremonies, as these types of fans were used in such ceremonies.
In contrast, the most densely inscribed (and incidentally, smallest) fan features a poem about the tea ceremony. The last of the fans is covered with silver flakes and decorated with more delicate calligraphy, which most likely contains fragments of classical poetry or proverbial messages. The fan is signed.
