Each painting in this set depicts one of the seasons, showcasing selected nature motifs specific to Japan:
Spring (春): the painting features a camellia, a flower that has long held special significance in Japanese culture, symbolizing the beginning of spring.
Summer (夏): The painting depicts a bird named 琉璃鳥, which means "blue bird."
Autumn (秋): In this image, we see a chestnut tree that has fallen to the ground along with the autumn leaves
Winter (冬): This winter painting shows a bird sitting in the snow
Each painting is carefully signed with both a stamp and the calligraphic signature of the artist, further emphasizing the uniqueness and collector value of the works.
