This miniature replica of yoroi armor is a true work of art. Made with fidelity to the smallest details, it stands out for its craftsmanship and rich ornamentation. The metal plates of the armor are connected by a cotton cord in a way that replicates the technique used in authentic, full-size samurai armor. The armor's helmet (kabuto) is adorned with an impressive maedate - a dragon-shaped front ornament - plated in 24-karat gold. The dragon, a symbol of power and protection, seems to float on the helmet with pride and majesty, and a red gem set in the maedate, most likely carnelian (a type of agate), adds extra sparkle. The same stones are also found on the nagolenniki. The helmet also features the Toyotomi family mon. The mon depicting a "three-leafed paulownia" is a symbol historically associated with the Toyotomi family, one of the most powerful families in Japan during the Sengoku period. The armor is presented in an elegant, specially designed wooden box used for storage and display. The corners of the box are decorated with gilded ornaments. Dimensions of the box: 34 x 45.5 x 39 cm
Height of the armor displayed on the box: 89 cm
